Liu Jia

Liu Jia is an internationally active collaborative pianist, chamber musician, and educator. She currently serves as Collaborative Piano Faculty and Piano Coach at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, National University of Singapore. Born into a musical family in Beijing, Liu Jia studied at the Central Conservatory of Music in China, where she earned both Bachelor’s and Master’s degrees in Piano Performance. During her studies, she received numerous scholarships and was selected to participate in the Hamamatsu International Piano Masterclasses in Japan. Since relocating to Singapore in 1998, she has become one of Asia’s most respected collaborative pianists. She has served as official pianist for major international competitions and festivals, including the Singapore International Violin Competition, Singapore International Violin Festival, Qingdao International Cello Festival, and Shenzhen International Clarinet Festival. Liu Jia has collaborated with distinguished musicians from around the world and has worked extensively in masterclasses led by James Galway, Pierre Amoyal, Cho-Liang Lin, Nobuko Imai, Midori, Renaud Capuçon, Gautier Capuçon, and many others. She is also the long-time piano coach for the studio of renowned cellist Li-Wei Qin. Since 2003, Liu Jia has taught collaborative piano and chamber music at the Yong Siew Toh Conservatory of Music, where she continues to mentor young musicians from around the world.

刘嘉是活跃于亚洲及国际音乐舞台的钢琴艺术指导、室内乐演奏家和教育家，现任新加坡国立大学杨秀桃音乐学院全职协作钢琴教师及钢琴艺术指导。 出生于北京音乐世家，刘嘉先后就读于中央音乐学院附中及中央音乐学院钢琴系，并获得学士及硕士学位。在校期间曾荣获多项优秀学生奖学金，并赴日本参加滨松国际钢琴大师班学习。 自1998年定居新加坡以来，刘嘉长期活跃于国际音乐节、比赛及室内乐舞台，曾担任新加坡国际小提琴比赛、新加坡国际小提琴艺术节、青岛国际大提琴艺术节、深圳国际单簧管艺术周等活动官方指定协作钢琴。 作为资深钢琴艺术指导，她曾与众多国际著名演奏家合作，并参与James Galway、Pierre Amoyal、Cho-Liang Lin、Nobuko Imai、Midori、Renaud Capuçon、Gautier Capuçon等大师班工作。她长期担任秦立巍教授课室艺术指导，每年与来自世界各地的音乐家及青年演奏家合作演出大量室内乐和协奏曲作品。 2003年至今，刘嘉任教于新加坡国立大学杨秀桃音乐学院，教授协作钢琴与室内乐课程，是亚洲最活跃的钢琴艺术指导之一。
