Li-Wei Qin

Li-Wei Qin is an internationally acclaimed cellist and Artistic Director of the Qingdao International Cello Festival. Born in Shanghai, he moved to Australia in his youth and later studied at the Royal Northern College of Music and the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. He won the Silver Medal at the 11th International Tchaikovsky Competition and First Prize at the 2001 Naumburg Competition in New York, and is active internationally as a soloist, chamber musician, and educator.

国际著名大提琴家，青岛国际大提琴艺术节艺术总监。出生于上海，少年时期赴澳大利亚学习，后获奖学金赴英国皇家北方音乐学院和伦敦市政厅音乐及戏剧学院深造。曾获第十一届柴科夫斯基国际比赛银奖、2001年纽约瑙姆堡国际比赛一等奖，并以独奏家、室内乐演奏家和教育家的身份活跃于国际舞台。
