Ma Wen

Ma Wen is a Professor of Cello and doctoral supervisor at the Central Conservatory of Music in Beijing, where she serves as Director of the Cello and Double Bass Teaching and Research Section. She received the highest performance doctorate from the Rostock University of Music and Theatre in Germany and has been recognised with the Fok Ying Tung Education Foundation Young Teacher Award. She also served as a cello jury member at the 17th International Tchaikovsky Competition. As a performer, Ma Wen has appeared in solo recitals, concerto performances and chamber music concerts in China and abroad. She has worked with orchestras including the China Youth Symphony Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra, Tianjin Symphony Orchestra, Kunming Symphony Orchestra and others. Her performances have been praised for combining European refinement and discipline with a strong Russian-influenced expressive intensity. Ma Wen is equally active as an educator. She regularly gives masterclasses and lectures at conservatories, music festivals and training programmes in China and abroad. Many of her students have won prizes in national and international cello competitions and have gone on to hold positions in professional orchestras. Her work as performer, teacher and department leader has made her one of the important figures in contemporary Chinese cello education.

马雯是中央音乐学院大提琴教授、博士生导师，并担任大提琴、低音提琴教研室主任。她获德国罗斯托克音乐学院最高演奏博士学位，曾获霍英东教育基金会高等院校青年教师奖，并担任第十七届柴可夫斯基国际音乐比赛大提琴评委。 作为演奏家，马雯长期活跃于国内外独奏、协奏曲与室内乐舞台，曾与中国青年交响乐团、上海交响乐团、天津交响乐团、昆明交响乐团等乐团合作。她的演奏被评价为融合了欧洲音乐的细腻、典雅与严谨，同时具有俄罗斯音乐传统中的热情与感染力，能够充分展现不同风格作品的音乐内涵。 在教学方面，马雯经常应邀在国内外音乐学院、音乐节和培训项目中举办公开课与讲学。她培养的多名学生曾在国内外大提琴比赛中获奖，并有学生毕业后在职业乐团担任大提琴首席等重要职位。作为演奏家、教育者和教研室负责人，马雯是当代中国大提琴教育领域的重要人物之一。
