Zhu Mu

Zhu Mu is a cellist, Professor of Cello and doctoral supervisor at the Central Conservatory of Music, a council member of the Strings Society of the Chinese Musicians Association, and a recipient of the 15th Fok Ying Tung Young Teacher Award. He began the cello at the age of five, studied with Hu Guoyao and Song Tao throughout the primary, middle-school, and undergraduate divisions of the Central Conservatory, and also participated in masterclasses with Mstislav Rostropovich, Mischa Maisky, and Bernard Greenhouse. From 2005 he continued his studies in Germany, earning a master’s degree with highest distinction under Stephan Forck in Berlin and later completing the highest German performance diploma with Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt in Dresden. He has given solo and chamber concerts in China, Germany, the Netherlands, Italy, Canada, the United States, Japan, Korea, and other regions, and has appeared with orchestras and leading conductors. A prizewinner at the Central Conservatory Cello Competition and the National Cello Duo Competition, he is also committed to contemporary music, recordings, and teaching at festivals and conservatories in China and abroad.

朱牧是大提琴演奏家、中央音乐学院大提琴教授和博士生导师，同时担任中国音乐家协会弦乐学会理事，并曾获第十五届霍英东青年教师奖。他5岁开始学习大提琴，先后师从胡国尧、宋涛教授，在中央音乐学院附小、附中及本科阶段完成专业学习，并参加过罗斯特罗波维奇、米沙·麦斯基和Bernard Greenhouse的大师班。2005年起他赴德国深造，在柏林音乐学院师从Stephan Forck并以全优成绩获得硕士学位，随后在德累斯顿音乐学院师从Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt，取得德国演奏家最高文凭。他曾在中国、德国、荷兰、意大利、加拿大、美国、日本和韩国等地举办独奏及室内乐音乐会，并与多位指挥家和交响乐团合作登台。他曾获中央音乐学院大提琴比赛一等奖、全国大提琴比赛重奏组一等奖等荣誉，长期推广现代音乐、出版大提琴专辑，并在国内外音乐节和音乐学院讲学。
